Where We Work
East Tennessee, covered corner to corner.
Bent Nail inspects homes across Anderson, Knox, Blount, Loudon, Roane, Cumberland, Hamblen, and Sevier counties, from Oak Ridge and Knoxville out to Crossville, Morristown, and the Smokies, plus communities beyond. Don’t see your city below? Call us, we’ll likely still make the drive.
Cities We Serve
Eight cities, each with its own dedicated page.
These are the cities we inspect in most often, each with its own page covering local construction types, common issues, and area-specific details.
Oak Ridge, TN
Anderson and Roane County, including the historic Cemesto homes built during the Manhattan Project.
Knoxville, TN
Knox County’s largest inspection market, spanning early-1900s neighborhoods to fast-growing new subdivisions.
Maryville, TN
Blount County’s growth corridor, with a mix of historic homes near downtown, established neighborhoods, and new construction.
Farragut, TN
West Knoxville’s high-value market, named for Admiral David Glasgow Farragut.
Lenoir City, TN
Loudon County’s lake corridor, along Tellico and Fort Loudoun Lake.
Clinton, TN
Anderson County, minutes from Oak Ridge, with a historic downtown and established residential neighborhoods.
Crossville, TN
Cumberland Plateau new construction and resale, with a strong golf and lake community draw.
Sevierville & Pigeon Forge, TN
Log cabins, short-term rentals, and residential homes at the doorstep of the Smokies.
Also Serving
And beyond, if you’re hiring, we’re driving.
These are communities we’ve inspected homes in before and continue to serve regularly, dedicated pages for each are coming soon, in the meantime, here’s what to know about each market. If your city isn’t listed anywhere on this page, give us a call, we’re happy to travel for the right job.
Morristown, TN
The seat of Hamblen County, sitting along Cherokee Lake and the Holston River about 45 miles northeast of Knoxville. Morristown is the largest city in the Lakeway Area and serves as a regional hub for Hamblen, Jefferson, and Grainger counties, with everything from established in-town neighborhoods to newer construction on its growing edges.
Alcoa, TN
A Blount County city directly adjacent to Maryville, and one of the fastest-growing communities in our service area, with population up more than 30% since 2020. Alcoa’s growth is driven partly by its proximity to McGhee Tyson Airport, and its housing stock reflects that rapid expansion: a strong mix of newer subdivisions alongside established neighborhoods.
Kingston, TN
The Roane County seat, sitting at the confluence of the Clinch and Tennessee Rivers on Watts Bar Lake. Kingston combines a historic downtown, in continuous use as the county’s civic center since the early 1800s, with genuine lake-access residential properties, drawing buyers looking for water access and a quieter pace with practical reach to the Knoxville corridor via I-40.
Powell, TN
An unincorporated Knox County community near Karns, close enough to Knoxville to function as one of its established suburbs. Powell has its own strong local identity and continues to see steady residential growth alongside its long-established neighborhoods.
Loudon, TN
The Loudon County seat, along the Tennessee River near Fort Loudoun Lake and Tellico Village. Loudon pairs small-town, historic character downtown with the same lake-community draw that shapes much of the wider Loudon County market, including nearby Lenoir City.
New Tazewell, TN
A Claiborne County city in the far northern reach of our service area, near Norris Lake and the Cumberland Gap. New Tazewell grew up around a railroad depot in the 1880s and today offers an easy drive to Knoxville, Norris Lake, and Lincoln Memorial University, a quieter, low-tax community with a small-town feel.
Oneida, TN
Scott County’s commercial center, on the northern Cumberland Plateau along the Tennessee-Kentucky border. Oneida serves as the gateway to the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, one of the largest national parks in the eastern U.S., giving the area a distinct rural, outdoor-recreation character.
Sweetwater, TN
A city spanning Monroe and McMinn counties along the southern edge of our service area. Sweetwater sits along the I-75 corridor between Knoxville and Chattanooga, with a mix of established in-town neighborhoods and surrounding rural properties.
Athens, TN
The McMinn County seat, sitting almost exactly midway between Knoxville and Chattanooga along I-75. Athens is a historic courthouse town in the Tennessee River valley, home to Tennessee Wesleyan University, with a classic downtown square surrounded by established residential neighborhoods.
